Business Development Manager – Recruitment Solutions

This is an award winning consultancy with a presence across a number of different sectors. They deliver a broad range of recruitment solutions in line with market conditions from contingency through to more sophisticated packages tailored to their client’s needs. With a network of offices this role can be based anywhere UK wide.
This position involves winning business from new and existing clients from SME to multi nationals. You will be following leads, networking, up selling, cold calling, but with a sophistication rather than aimless approach. My client can offer a bespoke range of solutions and this role will suit an individual looking to close deals with value in the £100k to £5 mill range rather than putting a proverbial bum on a seat. You should be confident pitching to senior level executives, and be able to work closely with bid teams to put together compelling case studies and proposals for potential clients. The work will take you across the UK with some time overseas a potential requirement too.
This role will probably suit an individual with a track record in recruitment who still enjoys the sales element. Ideally you will have pitched for and won business on a regular basis rather than worked on key account solutions. This is a self starting role and there will be many leads to follow, appointments to generate and long lead times into certain deals so tenacity is required. You should have a reasonable grasp of solutions from contingency to managed service (and everything in between), and be able to lead clients through the intricacies of how these solutions will benefit their business. You should have strong business acumen and be able to spot buying signs, handle objections, pitch complex packages and close deals on a regular basis. A background in any white collar professional sector of recruitment is advantageous, with HR, IT, Finance, Engineering, Legal, Marketing all being of interest.
The package will be commensurate with experience, and is likely to be in the £30-40k bracket, with car allowance, benefits and uncapped ote on offer for the successful applicant.
